Magical Lantern Festival- Chiswick House Gardens

Yesterday evening I went to the Magical Lantern Festival in Chiswick House Gardens which celebrates Chinese New Year, 2016 being the year of the monkey.

“The Magical Lantern Festival is visually spectacular, an artistic installation of beautifully sculpted life-size and giant lanterns designed in various forms from animals and birds to buildings and abstract lantern designs of all shapes and sizes.”-

My sister and I were blown away by the breath-taking lantern installations and although very cold we enjoyed hot chocolates from Beltane and Pop along the way. I wasn’t expecting the lanterns to be so large, particularly the 66 metre long dragon! I would definitely recommend going to see it if there are still tickets available- it’s on until 6th March.

My camera is now fixed thank goodness so I was able to get some great photos at festival. Hope you like- Enjoy!
