5 Looks Challenge: People Tree

Hey everyone! Today’s post is centered around People Tree’s 5 Looks Challenge whereby we are challenged to use 5 of their garments to create 5 different looks. This challenge encourages us to compose a capsule wardrobe, de-clutter our lives and maximize the usage of our clothes- all of which do good for the environment and reject fast disposable fashion. I love People Tree’s clothes- fair trade and sustainability are central to the organisation and the clothes they fit me really well. I’m usually a UK 8-10 and I opted for a UK 10 in all these pieces. They also have a size guide which was accurate for me. Here are my 5 looks- Enjoy!

My chosen 5 items are all People Tree:

Shoes & Accessories (Not included in 5 pieces):

  • Colour Block Clutch in Coral (Not included in 5): BUY HERE
  • Birkenstock Arizona Pull Up Stone: BUY HERE
  • Clarks Block Heel Sandals in Silver

The 5 Looks

Look 1: Jemma Camisole & Susie Trousers

This simple navy cami top in organic cotton works well tucked into print Tencel trousers for a comfortable, airy summer look. I also think the fitted top balances out the fullness of the wide leg trousers. Then, Birkenstocks and dangly earrings add a finishing touch.

Look 2: Jemma Camisole & Alexandra Skirt

I’ve been trying to get a bit more colour into my wardrobe recently and so this leaf print midi skirt is the perfect addition. Paired with navy cami and silver block sandals make a feminine outfit. My favourite part of this skirt is that it also has an adjustable waist which is perfect for after eating if you need a little more room to breath haha!

Look 3: Oliana Jumpsuit & Colour Block Clutch

Finding the perfect black jumpsuit has been on my agenda for a while now and I believe I’ve found it in this one. It’s made from a soft jersey fabric making it super comfy and it works well dressed up or down. Here I’ve styled it for the evening with statement tassel earrings from Kate Spade, People Tree beaded clutch and Clarks silver block heel sandals. It’s a really versatile piece and I’m sure I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it!

Look 4: Oliana Jumpsuit & Rosabel Tee

This look is possibly a little warm for the current warm weather. However, by layering this stripe tee over the jumpsuit, the jumpsuit becomes trousers. The addition of Birkenstocks completes this casual, simple look.

Look 5: Rosabel Tee & Susie Trousers

This final look is perhaps not for everyone but I think pairing stripes with a print works well as long as they both share the same colour palette. Both items have an oversized cut but the belted trousers draw the overall outfit in at the waist therefore improving the silhouette. Adding block heel sandals also lengthens the look and makes it a little more dressy.
