My Reformation Coat

Hey everyone, another OOTD today which was shot at the beautiful Somerset House. This look features my 21st birthday present- a beautiful houndstooth duster coat from Reformation. I absolutely adore everything that Reformation sells and I think they’re one of the few sustainable fashion brands who are targeted towards a young audience. It’s made from surplus wool and the lining is a really soft viscose- I realised that most coats have polyester linings, I much prefer the viscose because it doesn’t make you as hot as polyester. The miniature houndstooth print is a mixture of blue, brown and black and I feel like the coat has a very timeless feel. It’s also a great fit and I can see myself wearing it for years and years, which is always my aim when it comes to clothes.

Underneath my outfit is pretty casual but this coat definitely makes the outfit look smarter and more polished. I’m wearing my two current most worn items, my sweater is from a Spanish brand called Paloma Wool and their pieces are really well-made and unique. I love the woman’s face design on this sweater because it’s very minimal but artistic-looking. I paired it with a new pair of trousers from Jigsaw which I’d had my eye on for ages. I’m glad I committed because I have literally not taken them off since I bought them. I also had them in mind to wear to work during the summer because they’re very breathable due to their cotton composition and wide leg. I then added my beige suede trainers which I think are probably the most comfortable things I’ve ever put on my feet- they kind of feel spongy when you’re walking along! I finished off the look with my light blue cross-body bag from M&S and these really cool earring that I got from my sister for my birthday- they match with my sweater because they are the outline of a face. This look basically encompasses my current favourites and is a mixture of smart and sporty which I’d say is kind of my uniform at the moment.
